Lechner Racing
The motorsport history of the Lechner family began back in 1975. At that time Walter Lechner Sr. went to the famous Jim Russell Racing Drivers School at the Salzburgring and shortly after drove his first formula race. From that time the later to become seven time European champion and racing team owner, was captivated by the motorsport bug, and decided to enter the racing business, even before his two sons were born.
In 1979 the Lechner Racing School opened its own doors and the Lechner Racing Team established itself as a fixed name within international motorsports in the years to come. Of course it was bound to happen: With Walter's sons Robert and Walter Jr. the next Lechner generation was also highly successful on the move in the racing world. Both of them celebrated their greatest successes at long-distance races. Robert won at the 24 hour race on the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife, Walter won as class winner at the 24 hour sports car classic in Le Mans.
Parallel to their motorsport careers, the brothers initiated the agency Lechner Racing in 2005, which not only markets and commercializes the different lines of business, but also offers all areas of the successful business units as corporate events.
